WELCOME TO CLUB NOIRTHIS IS A CLUB DEDICATED TO FILM NOIR (THAT'S BLACK FILM FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T READ FRENCH) FILM NOIR CONSISTS OF MURDERS, DRUGS, BLACK, FILM, SEXY LADIES, MYSTERY, AND AWESOME.
{ THE SETTING }
The story is set around the 1930's and 1940's in order to fully embody the feel of noir. It's open to ALL countries (though I'm not sure how well asian countries fit in during this time period, it's up to you to do research)and is mainly focused around the underworld and criminal dealings and the people who are affected by it or live in that world. Think dark alleys, corrupt police, private investigators, pouring rain, curling smoke and long shadows. There will be active mafias, serial killers, government refugees and pissed off wives running rancid. Have your character live in squalor or be glamorous upper class, it's all up to you. The technology and life style should fit to the molds of the time, but please, don't feel limited by it. We honestly don't mind the odd somewhat misfit character coming along. However, we'd appreciate it if we kept this mostly realistic.
{ THE PURPOSE }
Essentially, this is a community for inter-related OC's who all reside in the same world. Each person may come up with characters and have them enter relationships or have encounters with others' characters. Story lines can be created at any time and intermixed, individual comics can be created, it'll just be one giant mass of a world a la Marvel and DC style. Future projects will be announced and thought up via suggestion from you, the community. Contests will be held, special events will be made. Excited yet?
{ THE RULES }
This club is open to all creative minds whether they be artists or writers or just good-at-coming-up-with-characters-ers. You do NOT have to role play your character or create comics, it's up to you how active you are with your OC. This community is EXTREMELY lax.
{ A FEW GROUNDS }
゜If you want to enter the club please note this account with a picture of your OC and a description of their occupation, personality etc. Eventually we can edit these descriptions to add relationships with other characters. NOT EVERYONE WILL BE ACCEPTED.
゜You don't have to draw well or sommat to join, simple reference pictures are fine and commissioning someone or getting a friend to draw your oc isn't bad as well. We will credit whoever you want in the description.
゜Draw/write your characters individually or in settings with other characters, whatever floats your boat.
゜All images/writing should be noted to this account if you want it to be put up.
゜Let's keep all images and writing pg-13 or sommat. Let's not be obscene.
゜When using other people's characters for your own writing/ project please ask the creator first.
゜If you want to kill off another character (oh god) please ask the creator first.
゜Think of everything as slightly alternate universe. Setting is film noir.
゜You can create as many characters as you like, that doesn't mean all of them will be accepted though.
